A little bit about Plas Derw Trust

Plas Derw Trust was set up in 2005 to provide Outdoor and Environmental Education and we mainly do this through the provision of Forest School based projects. We have developed the Forest Schools ethos and it now underpins our successful holiday clubs (Kids Club in the Woods™), our after school clubs (Saplings & Grubby Club), our specialist parties in the forest, school trips and team building days.

The Forest School Ethos North Wales

Plas Derw Trust Ltd has developed from simply offering Forest School Training to teachers to providing Forest School sessions to children of all ages through innovative Holiday Clubs, Birthday Parties and After School Clubs. We have even applied the ‘outdoor learning’ ethos to other natural environments – coast and beaches! At the heart of what we do, is the aim to enhance self-esteem & self-confidence through outdoor learning.

Forest School Training in North Wales

Plas Derw Trust Ltd is the sole provider of Forest School Training in North Wales.  Training local school teachers and individuals from a variety of backgrounds to become Forest School Practitioners in Flintshire disseminates the Forest School ethos benefiting more children and young people in North Wales.
